DHEA and DMAE Slow Brain Aging
Integrative medicine recognizes the importance of hormone and neurotransmitter levels to prevent or delay brain aging. DHEA and DMAE are both in slowing brain aging. These supplements are taken daily to be effective. Carefully monitor dosage of all natural or synthetic hormones. Both should be taken in smaller doses than believed by many.
Combine both hormones with small doses of Chasteberry or Vitex for improved outcome. This herb releases the precursor elements which later become progesterone. Melatonin may also be used to help reset the Circadian Rhythm Cycle and improve sleep. It balances hormone levels more quickly in many adult brains. Combine diagnostic blood testing with physical office exams for optimal health.

Stem
cell therapy is big business. Florida is the top growth area for
anti-aging clinics and new research. It appears to be the state most
dedicated to the establishment of this new medical treatment. These are
widely found in south Florida. The aging Florida crowd has money to fund
spending new healthcare products.
Several
clinics are associated with research facilities located outside of
America in the Bahamas, the Caribbean, and Switzerland. Cutting edge
results of anti-aging medicine reverse mental and physical declines
associated with aging of past generations. Looking and feeling better
often impact other life choices.
Florida
clinics specializing in lung disease treat all types of lung disease
including emphysema, chronic bronchitis, COPD, Amyotrophic lateral
sclerosis, interstitial lung disease, severely punctured lungs, trauma
injuries in the lung area, and chronic low lung function due to smoke
inhalation from fire or paint fumes. Local stem cells injections can
improve lung function, restore bronchi, and increase oxygenation in the
body. It may be possible to recreate missing areas of the lung in the
future. These modern medical miracles require multiple treatments and
benefit from good nutritional and vitamin protocols.
There
is a wonderful lung clinic in Sarasota, The Trinity Stem Cell Institute
in Odessa is another great location for this medical miracle. Tampa
Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine offers stem cell treatment for spine and
skeletal injuries. Stemedix, Inc. is a Florida-based Stem Cell Therapy
center in St Petersburg which treats multiple sclerosis with this
therapy.
All
injections must be screened for factors such as blood type and
diseases. Some clinics will include other medications in the injections
like growth factors. It is very important to exclude stem cell
injections which do not match the patient’s blood type. Adult stem cells
can be obtained from the patient’s fat cells. These are washed and
treated for re-injection into the patient. They are not as effective as
embryonic cells.
Umbilical
cords and cord blood can provide embryonic stem cells without the need
for a fetus. It is also important to continue to take medications for
underlying diseases and inform the doctor of any prescribed or
recreational drugs take by the patient in the preceding thirty-day
period.
It
is very important for patients to refrain from using recreational
drugs, drinking, or smoking to allow the cell colony to grow and
differentiate into the appropriate organ or tissue. Choose the clinic by
its specialty and stay away from one size fits all clinics. Ask about
the number of patients successfully treated by the doctor and/or clinic.

Melatonin Treats Insomnia and Depression
http://LEF.prg
Complementary
Alternative Medicine (CAM) uses melatonin to improve depression along
with amino acids, vitamins, minerals, and herbs. Melatonin is a hormone
produced in the brain by the pineal gland from the amino acid
tryptophan. It is available as a nutritional supplement. You can also
increase melatonin levels by supplementing the amino acid tryptophan.
Melatonin is stimulated by darkness and suppressed by light and is
affected by the circadian rhythm. It regulates diverse body functions.
Levels of melatonin in the blood are highest prior to bedtime. Low
levels of melatonin are associated with some types of cancer.
Melatonin
will help treat depression that stems from inadequate sleep. When the
sleep cycle is improved, this type of depression patient will often
recover quickly. Anxiety is also a problem when there is sleep
deprivation. Almost every type of brain condition gets worse when there
is insufficient sleep. It is important to ask your doctor about this
problem. Hormone imbalances often cause many brain conditions during
menopause or andropause.
Melatonin
will cross the blood brain barrier and increase brain circulation. It
increases the production of neurotransmitters and balances the brain. It
strengthens the immune system. The enhanced immune system is due to the
improvement in hormone and neurotransmitter regulation.
Complementary Alternative Medicine (CAM) uses melatonin to treat insomnia, jet lag, ischemia,
smoking cessation, sleep disturbances related to depression, depression
caused by sleep deprivation, seasonal affective disorder (SAD), and
anxiety. This hormone may be combined with amino acids to increase its
effectiveness. Nutritional support can include food-based multivitamins,
Vitamin E, Vitamin D, CoQ10, and alpha lipoic acid. Try adding yoga or
mild exercise for producing maximum results from Melatonin.

Help for Facial Tics and Tourette’s
Tics
may occur from nutritional deficiencies, genetic conditions, Tourette
syndrome, immune system malfunction, allergies, or stress. Stress and
anxiety can increase the frequency of facial tics. Emotional trauma can
cause tics which can disappear when the emotional disorder is treated.
Tics due to emotional trauma or stress can improve or disappear with
hypnotherapy, Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), energetic therapy,
Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) yoga, Tai Chi, music therapy,
homeopathy, Interactive Metronome, cognitive behavioral therapy, HEMI
Sync, acupuncture, massage, and scalp acupuncture. Secondary mood
disorders can worsen the severity of tics.
Treating
and healing facial tics or Tourette’s syndrome with ordinary amino
acids is the basis for Orthomolecular Medicine. Large doses of naturally
found proteins called amino acids can repair the imbalance in the brain
and repair its malfunction. These amino acids are affordable and are
used in therapeutic doses much larger than those levels normally found
in food. The concept of orthomolecular medicine is based upon the use of
very large doses of vitamins, minerals, amino acids, or botanical
extracts for the cellular repair and enhancement of normal brain
activities and motor activities.
Lithium
mineral salt may help this patient if there is Tourette’s syndrome, but
it would not help for most other types of facial tics. Botanicals that
may treat tics and reduce tics and spasms include kava, skullcap,
valerian, St John’s Wort, peppermint, black cohosh, dragon bone,
prunella, rose hips, Go Teng, Tian Men Dong, Bai Shao, Yin Chen Hao.
Orthomolecular medicine uses include magnesium, zinc, calcium, B
Vitamins, and chromium along with the botanicals to support recovery.
Orthomolecular
medicine uses large therapeutic doses of carnitine, tryptophan,
taurine, GABA, and 5-HTP. Theanine, GABA, and 5-HTP can work well for
tics caused by stress. These amino acids must be used long-term for
Tourette’s syndrome and you may want to consider IV therapy in the worst
cases for at least nine months.
This
patient may have severe allergies and benefit from the elimination of
genetically modified foods. The diet should be altered to exclude
unsaturated fats, caffeine, nicotine, artificial sweeteners, food
additives, food dyes, alcohol, and high-fat meats. Try to eat free range
chicken, organic meat, organic or locally produced eggs, and limit red
meat to twice per week. You should always eat breakfast relatively high
in protein. This may include whey protein, almond milk, or soy protein.
Walnuts, yogurt, almonds, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, and pecans are
great for snack foods. Remember that corn is frequently a genetically
modified food. Popcorn can be a good snack food if you are certain that
it is not genetically modified. Organic or locally grown vegetables and
fruits are the best health options. Avoid foods that are often
contaminated with pesticides or heavy metals. Plant fruit trees in your
yard for more fresh fruit.

Complementary
Alternative Medicine (CAM) uses amino acids to improve brain chemistry
and balance neurotransmitter levels. The amino acids used include 5-HTP,
SAME, GABA, and Tyrosine. Amino acids may have to be combined for many
people, while other people may be able to use a single amino acid to
turn around their depression.
It
is extremely important to understand that smoking, recreational drugs,
and alcohol contribute to significant increases in depression. Cigarette
smokers are 41% more likely to suffer from depression than non-smokers.
Smoking a pipe or cigar also increases depression. Smoking cessation of
all types is important to resolving depression. The increased carbon
monoxide levels from cigarette smoking probably impact the increased
depression levels.
Depression
can often be abated within a two to four week period by taking 5-HTP at
doses of 50–300 mg three times a day. The dosage is dependent on
weight, size, age, and physical condition. The 5-HTP increases the
body’s serotonin level. 5-HTP may be taken with food. Any insomnia
associated with the depression may improve significantly. 5HTP may not
work for everyone and may cause slight nausea. Do not use 5HTP in
combination with drugs that increase serotonin (SRRI’s).
SAME
is another amino acid that will work alone for many people to resolve
depression within two to three weeks. Try taking 400 mg of SAME before
bed on an empty stomach as an effective way to resolve depression. This
amino acid should be taken for four to six weeks before deciding on its
effectiveness.
A
food based multivitamin should be taken on a daily basis. One to two
cups of Earl Gray tea may help many people with depression. It contains
bergamot. Try including salmon into your diet twice a week and eating
walnuts and almonds as snacks.

Fight Drug Addiction with Laser Therapy
Class III B Luminex Laser
Complementary
Alternative Medicine (CAM) uses ear acupuncture with needles,
electricity, or laser therapy to manage addiction withdrawal. Ear
acupuncture with laser therapy has the highest success rate in addiction
recovery. For those who cannot tolerate laser therapy, alternative
includes ear acupuncture with needles and a hand-held electrical device
that is used on specific addiction points and brain points is fairly
successful in managing addiction withdrawal and recovery.
The
cases that did well-involved therapy five days per week for a month and
three times per week for six months to a year afterward. This is not
inexpensive and many working people do not have the ability to get
intensive treatment. Many of these studies were for drug addicts that
were in prison. Many acupuncturists work on addiction recovery, but most
of them are unaware of the level of frequency required for true
recovery. Many are unwilling to present this as an option due to the
high expense. If you want a fairly successful recovery with
approximately a thirty to seventy percent chance of winning the drug
addiction battle, it does require extremely intensive treatment.
Eating
addictions do not require this intensive level of treatment. Two or
three times per week is successful when combined with amino acid
therapy. Food addiction treatment requires nine to twelve months of
therapy and treatment. Laser therapy works really well and should be
tried where available. The Class III Medical Grade Cold Laser by Luminex
or Thor Laser is the best option. Ask the medical professional the
specifics of their clinic’s laser. Small pen sized lasers are inadequate
in strength.
Dependence-inducing
substances and recreational drugs cause concentrations of dopamine to
rise in the surroundings, which in turn affects other nerve cells and
bring about various physical and mental reactions. One way to diminish
the desire for drugs is blocking the dopamine-producing nerve cell’s
glutamate receptors. Dopamine-producing nerve cells are central to the
brain’s reward system. This will cause cravings for cocaine to slow or
stop. Herbal formulas can be used for this purpose or specific amino
acid combinations including 5-HTP and GABA.
Complementary
Alternative Medicine (CAM) utilizes many therapies for addiction
including amino acid therapy, therapeutic vitamins and minerals,
acupuncture, laser therapy, EFT, and herbal formulas. Detoxification is
needed before nutritional therapies are used for most people.
There
are vaccines on the horizon that may help many with substance abuse.
Cambridge-based Xenova Group plc is developing therapeutic vaccines for
cocaine and nicotine addiction. These vaccines are designed to prime the
immune system to produce anti-cocaine or anti-nicotine antibodies. The
addictive substance binds to the antibodies after entering the
bloodstream. The resulting large complex cannot cross the blood-brain
barrier, so the usually pleasurable stimulus is absent or reduced. These
vaccines will help those who wish to stop using cocaine or nicotine and
may be used to prevent addiction.
When
attempting substance abuse withdrawal, the use of amino acid
supplements is key to stabilize the brain’s neurological function as it
is attacked by drugs, alcohol, shopping, computer, porn, and sex.
Elimination of addiction destabilizes several key brain functions.
Certain DNA types are predisposed to substance abuse problems. Look at
your family history to determine these issues.
Chemical
support through pharmacology, herbs, nutritional supplements, amino
acids, minerals, vitamins or nootropics will produce an improved
withdrawal outcomes and better long-term remission rates. The long-term
amino acid therapy and stress reducing strategies are needed for
successful resolution of addiction. Yoga or Tai Chi are both great
stress reducers and are great ways to stabilize your brain.
Quantum Brain Healing is a book on using alternative medicine,
nutritional therapies, vitamins, amino acid therapy to treat, heal, and
prevent many brain diseases. It also shows how to protect the brain from
aging, cognitive disorders, and learning disorders. Modern anti-aging
tips for protecting memory and working longer. It offers help in eliminating
addictions and depression. This 264 page paperback book published by SpeedyReads.com offers new solutions for brain illness.
Fight Anti-Aging with Schisandra
Complementary
Alternative Medicine (CAM) uses Schisandra to enhance health and
wellness in many ways. The herb improves the brain and should be
accompanied by several antioxidants. Schisandra is an adaptogenic herb
that can stimulate and sedate depending upon what the body needs.
Schisandra can reduce glucose levels in the brain and is an
anti-inflammatory.
It
should be considered an anti-aging herb because high glucose levels
lead to inflammation in the brain and body and are among the most
age-accelerating actions. This herb balances neurotransmitters and
hormones in the body. Schisandra can be used as a tonic to increase
strength and endurance in older people.
Its
adaptogenic action is beneficial for treating stress. This adaptogenic
herb can also relieve fatigue and exhaustion. Schisandra improves
memory, focus, concentration, irritability, and insomnia. It has been
used to treat neurosis and anxiety. It can be useful in treating a mild
case of depression.
Schisandra
increases the speed of nerve impulses and it may benefit many diseases
with impaired nerve function like MS, ALS, or Parkinson’s. It improves
the overall function level of the Central Nervous System (CNS). Try this
herb to improve neurasthenia, diabetic neuropathy, and peripheral
neuropathy. Schisandra improves the communication between the peripheral
nerves and the CNS.
The
glucose reduction caused by this herb may be one of the ways nerve
impulses are improved as glycation and inflammation throughout the body
are reduced. This herb should be used for two to three months for this
purpose.
This
herb protects the brain by protecting the kidney and liver. The healthy
liver removes toxins from the body and this lowers the toxic load
throughout the body.

Improve Autism by Treating Food Allergies
Complementary
Alternative Medicine (CAM) treats autism with alternative therapy and
dietary change. This concept addresses food allergies and detoxification
among other issues. There are many allegations attempting to tie the
autism spectrum syndrome to vaccines in young children as the diagnosis
usually occurs when the children are young.
This
may be the case, or the vaccine may trigger disease in a child with an
inadequate immune system. Deficient immune systems react to many
triggers including chemicals, pollutants, foods, dyes, medications, and
environmental allergens. One-third of autistic children suffer from
epilepsy. Emotional trauma for a child with a compromised immune system
may provide the mechanism for autism symptoms.
There
may be dietary issues involved in autism. Immune system deficiencies
may enable relatively safe substances to produce large negative events
in patients. There are several theories which evolve from the basis that
much disease is a result of allergies. After the allergies are cleared,
the disease or symptoms disappear. NAET incorporates this concept into
its method of healing to heal the body after clearing allergens.
The
Rotation Diet, Elimination Diet, Gluten Free Diet, and Casein Free Diet
are other examples of reducing food allergies. The gut may need
probiotics and yogurt for improved bacterial health.
Every
autistic child should have allergy tests checked and diagnostic testing
for vitamin and mineral deficiencies. Autistic children are often
deficient in selenium, lithium, and cholesterol. Vitamins and
nutritional supplements should commence after the test results are in
hand. Quantum Brain Healing monitors progress with food allergies to see
how quickly symptoms diminish. Many children using NAET are much better
after one year of treatments.
Detox and Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation Help Schizophrenia
A
Yale University research study for schizophrenic patients experiencing
prolonged symptoms of severe and constant voices noted improvement with
Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS). This therapy places an
electromagnet on the scalp which generates a moderate magnetic field
pulse.
These
magnetic pulses penetrate the skull and stimulate the cerebral cortex.
Low-frequency TMS induces sustained reductions in cortical activation.
It reduces auditory hallucinations. Approximately half of the patients
experiencing this treatment had excellent results.
Unbalanced
brain chemistry may cause schizophrenic symptoms including auditory
hallucinations. This is especially true for people suffering from trauma
or abuse. Schizophrenia patients must refrain from substance abuse.
Amino acids rebalance brains. CAM doctors specialize in alternative or
orthomolecular medicine and utilize amino acid or vitamin intravenous
drips to successfully correct these deficiencies.
For
some patients, these IV drips can work miracles and allow less medicine
and liver damage. Detoxification of the liver and gallbladder with
herbal cleanse and foot ionizing detoxification can help reduce toxic
load of the body.
The
amino acid SAME regenerates and revitalizes the liver. 5-HTP, GABA, and
Theanine support a healthy brain. The Vitamin IV drip benefits those
with Schizophrenia. The best strategy for treating hallucinations is
detoxification and amino acid therapy.
There
are many herbal remedies which can be used to treat HIV and AIDS. Two
affordable herbs which can be purchased easily in capsule form are
Cordyceps and Astragulus.
Cordyceps
is a fungus that grows on caterpillar larvae, Hepialus armoricanus
Oberthuer. It is an ancient Chinese medical tonic that is commonly used
to support the body and kidneys. It has been used for a wide range of
conditions including increasing immune function, building the blood,
treating fatigue and sexual dysfunction. The allopathic mechanisms of
Cordyceps include increasing the number of T helper cells, prolonging
the survival of lymphocytes, enhancing TNF-alpha and interleukin 1
production, and increasing the activity of natural killer cells. It
functions an adaptogen or immune stimulant.
The
chemical components of cordyceps include amino acids, sterols,
saccharides, nucleosides, fatty acids, and polyamines. Cordyceps should
not be consumed by those with myelogenous cancer.
Astragulus
or Huang Qi is an ancient Chinese herb is used to balance the body,
strengthen the blood, increase energy levels, and support the lung,
spleen, and kidney functions. It functions as an anti-viral,
antibacterial, and diuretic. This can lower glucose levels. Astragalus
enhances respiratory function and helps prevent lung infections. The
herb is an immune enhancer and adaptogen which can be used on a
long-term basis without serious side effects for most people.
It
is great for rebuilding the immune system of cancer patients after the
conclusion of radiation or chemotherapy. It is also wonderful to prevent
the onset of the flu and cold season . Its chemical components include
flavonoids, amino acids, and polyphenols. These products may be purchased
at Vitamin Shoppe, Central Market, and Whole Foods grocery stores or
most local vitamin stores.
Orthomolecular
Medicine manages obesity and weight problems with ordinary amino acids.
The use of megavitamins and therapeutic levels of amino acids was
researched by Dr. Linus Pauling. Large doses of naturally found proteins
called amino acids can repair the neurotransmitter imbalances in the
brain to enhance brain function and reverse malfunction. Amino acids are
affordable and therapeutic doses are much larger than those levels
normally found in food.
This
concept requires very large doses of vitamins, minerals, amino acids,
or botanical extracts for the cellular repair and enhancement of normal
brain activities. Amino acids help increase muscle mass, which is
required for higher metabolism levels during weight reduction. Weight
loss, without increased muscle mass and exercise, results in lower
metabolic rates. The body uses fewer daily calories as weight is lost.
Health
problems may prevent the body from losing weight. These include thyroid
disease, hormone imbalances, diabetes, impaired cardiac function,
neurotransmitter imbalances, chronic viral infections causing low energy
and fatigue, chromosome problems in developmentally challenged people,
fatty liver disease, impaired spleen function, and long digestive
tracts.
Fatty
liver disease is a large problem in weight loss. SAME and milk thistle
help improve this medical condition. This may stem from a high fat diet
and heavy metal or pesticide toxins. Detoxification and herbs are great
for supporting good liver function. Heavy metals or pesticides toxins
need to be removed with far infrared sauna or hot yoga and oral
chelators like cilantro, organic wheat grass, or Chlorella. Milk thistle
is a very good herb for liver support.
Fat
cells store toxins. Fatty livers store of toxins which impair cellular
metabolism and the normal release of fat for energy. Additional herbs
which improved liver function are Gynostemma Pentaphyllum and Hawthorn
Berries. Take these in capsule form or as a tea. Omega 3 and 6 fatty
acids and CLA are very good for reducing liver fat unrelated to
alcoholism.
5-HTP,
carnitine, orthinine, phenylalanine, theanine, and arginine are amino
acids effective for weight loss. Weight loss effects include decreasing
appetite, altering glucose regulation, tweaking the metabolism of energy
by the cell, and speeding the release of fat during energy production.
Amino acids must be used in therapeutic doses for several months. You
should be able to discern within seven to twelve days if the therapy is
successful.

Carbon Monoxide Poisoning
People
die every winter from carbon monoxide poisoning. Carbon Monoxide is a
colorless and odorless gas. It often happens without warning. This
tragedy is due to old appliances like gas furnaces, hot water heaters,
dryers, stoves and any machine fueled with natural gas. Aging cracks
form in heat exchangers in heaters and ventilation may disconnect or
shift to produce this by-product.
CO
toxicity occurs in power outages from improper use of gasoline-powered
portable generators to provide electricity. Generators exhaust from
houseboats and yachts’ propulsion engines can produce CO poisoning.
Cigarette smoke also produces CO toxins in the body.
Many
vague symptoms are warning signs of carbon monoxide poisoning including
dizziness, fatigue, vertigo, low energy, blue or pale skin color,
nausea, headaches, sleepiness, chest pain, exhaustion, double vision,
seizures, and sight problems.
Walmarts and Sams Club multiple pack detectors
CO
is the by-product of burning organic compounds. It is imperative to
purchase carbon monoxide detectors and mount them on ceilings on each
floor of homes, basements, and buildings. These devices are affordable
and cost $25 or less. Sam’s Club sells them in multiples.
A
medicine which can be useful in CO poisoning to prevent death or brain
damage is methylene blue. The drug has a medical history of 100 years.
Emergency rooms may use it for cyanide and carbon monoxide poisoning.
Other helpful treatments include oxygen tanks and hyperbaric oxygen
therapy.
Dr.
Timothy Q. Duong, Ph.D. with the University of Texas Health Science
Center at San Antonio has evaluated the drug with fMRI’s and found the
medicine to improve memory. The medication is also prescribed for a
long-term treatment for methemoglobinemia.

Huperzine
A and Blueberry extract often improve brain health and moderates
symptoms for patients. Life Extension Foundation has an excellent
pharmaceutical grade product available online.
Food
intake can improve symptoms. Reducing alcohol, tobacco, food dyes, GMO
foods, and chemicals improve overall health and slow the disease
progression. Alzheimer’s may be a reaction to extreme environmental
toxins and heavy metals. Chelation therapy and far-infrared sauna remove
stored toxins in your fat cells and liver. These solutions reverse some
symptoms and slow the path of the disease. Diagnostic testing delivers a
valid assessment and new prescription drugs.
